World-renowned Cordoba artist, Jose Gonzalez, found a break in his busy schedule to visit Cordoba HQ yesterday morning. He’s in the middle of touring with his band, Junip, and came to Los Angeles for a short visit to accept the award for Best Song in a Video Game at the SPIKE VGAs. His winning single “Far Away” is featured in the video game, Red Dead Redemption and was up against songs from artists such as Green Day, Soundgarden, Eminem and Rihanna. Seems as though video gamers are into the nylon sound as much as we are!
Jose has been traveling with his Cordoba Custom Artist guitar, but was looking for something else to use both live and in the recording studio. He sampled everything from the C9 and C10 to the Solista to the Fusion Orchestra guitars and ended up choosing a Loriente Clarita in Spruce for its well-balanced tone trebles that sing and basses that boom.
