The Cordoba 25 Series embodies the charm of traditional ukulele ornamentation combined with the striking natural figure of acacia, an exotic tropical wood closely related to koa, the beloved tonewood native to Hawaii. These ukuleles feature a solid exotic acacia top and figured acacia back and sides, providing a bright, round and familiar voice. The 25 Series represents the very roots of the ukulele itself, incorporating a wooden rope-style top binding with a herringbone rosette and tie block, hearkening to the old-world origins of the instrument. Other features include a thinly applied satin finish, bone nut and saddle, and Aquila strings, appealing to discerning customers who are shopping for a tasteful and authentic ukulele. These ukes are available in soprano, concert, tenor, and tenor cutaway sizes.
The CE Custom elegantly balances traditional and contemporary nylon guitar design. Córdoba combined first hand experience researching historical instruments for the Master series with its most popular modern features. The result? A premium stage-ready cutaway nylon guitar. Whether providing increased functionality for the traditional performer or offering a comfortable alternative for the steel string player, the Córdoba CE Custom strikes the perfect chord for any style.
The CE Custom features all-solid premium tonewoods including a lightly braced solid western red cedar top, solid Indian rosewood back and hand-bent sides. The comfortable, slim C-shape Spanish cedar neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard and joins the body using a traditional Spanish heel for optimal resonance and stability. The contemporary styling of this model is highlighted by exotic snakewood body binding, with genuine mother-of-pearl used for the rosette and Córdoba's arches logo on the headstock. The robust tone of the CE Custom can be amplified using the on-board L.R. Baggs Anthem SL Classical electronics, providing an incredibly natural sound thanks to the combination of an undersaddle element and internal microphone. The CE Custom is handcrafted by Córdoba's talented Master Builders in the California Workshop and ships in a Córdoba deluxe humidified hardshell case.

Guitar Site recently rounded up the best nylon string guitars and organized them by three categories: under $500, mid-range, and top-of-the-range, and several Córdoba guitars were included on the list!
Coming in at just under $500, the Córdoba F7 was included in the first tier of guitars. Guitar Site writes:
"The Cordoba F7 Flamenco provides guitarists with an affordable way to enjoy the snappy and percussive tone of a genuine flamenco guitar, complete with a solid European spruce top and cypress back and sides. To get the percussive buzz that's distinct to flamenco guitars, the F7's action is set lower than that of classical guitars, making this instrument very easy to play especially with its 25.6" scale length and wide 2.04" nut width."
"The F7 is handcrafted to ensure a level of quality that goes beyond what you're paying for," they continue. "If you're looking to play traditional flamenco or if you're looking to spice up your tracks with percussive rhythm riffs, then check out the Cordoba F7."
Included in the mid-range roundup is the Córodba C7-CE:
"Cordoba again grabs a spot in this list with the C7-CE, a reasonably priced guitar with top notch craftsmanship, premium wood configuration and tone. Reviews and feedback are unanimous in saying positive things about the guitar, mentioning its great balance of feel, comfort and sound. For its mid-level price, the C7-CE comes packed with high-end tonewoods and built-in electronics, making it a true workhorse for gigging musicians that require a reliable instrument. Headlining the features of this modern nlyon stringed guitar is the solid Canadian cedar top which is supported by Indian rosewood back and sides. They form the guitar's resonant body which features a modern cutaway for easier upper fret access. The unplugged tone of the C7-CE is surprisingly loud for its size, all the while letting you hear the nuances of your playing. On stage, you can easily plug it in to an amp or PA, thanks to the Fishman Presys Blend Pickp System, which allows for natural sounding warm tones on stage."
We're so excited to be included in Guitar Site's list! Check out the full article here. Learn more about the F7 and the C7-CE on our website!
Check out the May 2015 issue of Guitar Player Magazine for an appearance by the Córdoba F7 Paco in their "17 Sensational Signature Models" feature!
"None of these models appear to be a stock guitar with someone's name slapped on the headstock. So if you want a smattering of mojo from any of the fine players honored here with signature models, just put one of their babies in your hands!" writes author Michael Molenda.
The F7 Paco is "inspired by various instruments" in legendary guitarist Paco de Lucia's arsenal, and "features non-traditional body woods for a flamenco guitar."
British magazine Total Guitar recently reviewed the Córdoba Guilele CE, and it's safe to say we won them over!
"A six-string uke or a mini classical guitar? It's your choice. Either way, it's a lot of fun with serious application," writes reviewer Dave Burrluck.
The guilele also racked up four stars in features, sound quality, value for money, and build quality, and five stars for playability. Big thanks to Total Guitar! Check out more on the Córdoba Guilele CE here.
Los Angeles-based band Dúo del Sol recently set out on a tour of the Midwest. Despite playing eight shows in a little over a week, the duo, comprised of violinist Javier Orman and guitarist Tom Farrell, managed to find some spare time to shoot a video for their most recent single "La Ciudad." Recorded solely on their iPhones, the video is filmed on Chicago's L train and features Tom on his Cordoba GK Pro.
Guitar Center's award-winning YouTube channel recently focused its spotlight on the Cordoba GK Studio Negra!
The GK Studio Negra is the Rosewood counterpart to the GK Studio. When we first came out with the GK Studio in 2009, we were surprised and thrilled to see how many different types of players gravitated towards it. Our original intent was to design an accessible flamenco guitar in the style of what the Gipsy Kings were playing ("GK", get it?). We made the body slightly thinner, used a 50mm nut width, incorporated a soft cutaway and a Fishman pickup and used the traditional flamenco combination of spruce and cypress. It turned out to be the perfect recipe for one of the most comfortable and versatile guitars any of us had ever played. Fast forward to 2014, and the GK family has grown to include a rosewood option (GK Studio Negra), along with all-solid upgraded versions (GK Pro, Pro Negra, & most recently, the GK Pro Maple). In 2015, we plan to expand our line to include limited editions with exotic back/side woods. Stay tuned and let us know what you think of the GK series in the comments below!
