We had such a blast in Anaheim last week, showing off our newest Córdoba gear at NAMM 2016! Below is a quick recap of some press we received, including a gallery of images of our booth and beautiful Córdoba guitars and ukuleles!

We've been creating quality nylon string guitars and ukuleles for the modern musician for years; along with this dedication to craftsmanship and innovation, we also love sharing our instruments with organizations focused on music education and awareness.
We recently donated twelve C1 guitars to Decatur Classical School in Chicago, Illinois. Also gifted to Decatur, whose teaching approach is based on the “classical” method of learning, were four 15CM concert ukuleles, four 22T-CE tenor ukuleles, and four 20TM-CE tenor ukuleles.
Decatur successfully met thair fundrasiing goal this past year in order to hire full-time art and music teachers, said PTA Vice President of Special Events Flynis Bergner.
"We couldn't have imagined that we would ever be able to secure instruments for these kids. It was a dream come true to see the shipment arrive in front of our school. Words cannot express our excitement and gratitude."
Decatur music teacher Mr. Brownlee is now in the process of finding teachers and volunteers to help launch a school band and an after-school music program.
Here are a few snaps of the kids playing their new Córdoba instruments; we're so excited for the Decatur students and all of the musical fun that awaits them!
Now that our bags are unpacked and we've slept off all of the jetlag, we'd like to share a few photos from our recent trip at Musikmesse, an annual music tradeshow in Frankfurt, Germany!
We had a great time sharing all of our guitars and ukuleles with our European dealers and fans. It's so exciting for us to meet all of our international Córdoba lovers, and we look forward to seeing you next year! Until then, enjoy some of these shots from Frankfurt!
We're back at work after another successful Winter NAMM show! We had so any fond memories that we wanted to share a few of them with all of you!
We debuted the F7 Paco in honor of Paco De Lucia's untimely passing last year. With its solid Canadian cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides, the F7 Paco has a fuller, darker, less biting tone.
We also added the GK Studio Limited to the already sucessful GK Studio line. A stage-ready flamenco guitar with a solid European spruce top paired with striking ziricote back and sides, the GK Studio Limited features low action and quick playability.
Also new for 2015 is the Córdoba Mini, the first miniaute nylon-string guitar. Designed to be the perfect companion for road trips, vacations, or hanging out at home, the Minis provide the playability of a ful size nylong string guitar in a compact, lightweight body.
We hope you enjoy a few shots from our four days at the Anaheim Convention Center below! You can also see a playlist of videos over at our YouTube channel here.
Cordoba recently sponsered Ukulele Magazine's second annual Holly Jolly Ukulele Contest and the winners were announced today! Congratulations to ensemble winners Foggy Otis, who performed an original Christmas tune called "Feels Like Christmas" and solo winner Francis O'Keefe, who reinvisioned the holiday classic "Feliz Navidad" by adding some beat-boxing to his ukulele cover.
In any other circumstance, we would be so excited to promote and be a part of not only an amazing night of music (seriously, look at that line-up!), but a chance to win a GK Studio. However, in this case, it's a little more complicated than that. Earlier this month, we found out that one of our friends tragically lost her beagle, Jackson, after several rounds of emergency surgeries. Earlier this summer, Jackson was a completely healthy 7-year old dog with the sweestest, almost healing disposition. Rescued from a life of depravity and neglect, he was one of those puppies who soaked up every ounce of love that his "fur-ever" family provided. When Jackson started showing mysterious signs of pain last month, he was mis-diagnosed with a disk disease, and after 2 complicated surgeries and 8 days in intesive care, his little heart stopped. Upon further investigation, it was determined that he most likely had Foxtail.
Here at Cordoba, our four-legged friends are near and dear to our hearts so we jumped at the chance to help Jackson's family out with their vet debt and spread awareness of Foxtail, a sneaky, dangerous and infectious plant that can work its way into a cat or dog through the nose, or inbetween toes and inside the ears, eyes and/or mouth.
If you empathize with Jackson's family, please consider making a donation (anything helps!) in his memory or even better, if you are in LA, come join us at El Cid on September 24 at 7:30pm for an awesome celebration of man's best friend and music.
Hardly Strictly Classical is proud to present Dúo del Sol at the Ann and Jerry Moss Theater on Saturday, September 13th at 7:30pm!
Cordoba artists, Dúo del Sol are known for their highly provocative instrumental soundscapes as well as their heartfelt songwriting. These “avant-sonic acrobats” offer a musical experience like no other! Their performance at the Moss Theatre will feature choreography by Roni Blak of Blak & Blue Dance Project along with guest appearances by opera superstar Janai Brugger and legendary pianist and composer Starr Parodi.
Hardly Strictly Classical is a concert series with internationally acclaimed artists and local musicians presented at the Ann and Jerry Moss Theater in the Herb Alpert Educational Village, 3131 Olympic Boulevard, Santa Monica. This concert series is inspired by San Francisco's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, founded by philanthropist and musician Warren Hellman. Hardly Strictly Classical is presented by Sarah Coade Mandell and Peter Mandell, in partnership with the Coalition for Engaged Education.
This was our second year exhibiting at the MusikMesse show in Frankfurt, Germany. We brought 42 guitars and 20 ukuleles to the show and it was a great opportunity to meet with dealers, distributors, artists and guitar enthusiasts who were not able to make it to California for the NAMM show! When we go to events like this, we're reminded of how lucky we are to work in music - a universal language. We met so many people from all over the world, and even if we couldn't speak to some of the visitors, we could still communicate through the instruments.
Our USA-made Master Series models (including a Limited Edition Hauser with Granadillo back and sides) were front and center in addition to the new all-solid C10 Parlor, C9 Crossover and C12 Limited.
Our new Cordoba ukulele POP stand received a lot of accolades at the show! This sturdy metal stand can display 10 ukuleles of any size and was designed to fit the decor of any store.
The new Luthier series C10 Parlor on display.
We also brought a sneak peek of a new parlor-sized steel string model, the Leona, to round out our Acero series (far right).
Eugenio Polacchini and Matteo Minozzi of the Bruskers Guitar Duo travelled from Italy to play in our booth throughout the show! Matteo is playing a Fusion Orchestra CE Pro (Spruce) and Eugenio has an Iberia C7-CE (Cedar).
Many visitors stopped by our booth to check out and play the Master Series Hauser model since it is a replica of a 1937 guitar made by iconic German luthier, Hermann Hauser.
